New features

  • eWizard Planner is now integrated with draw.io. This integration allows you to design diagrams—customer journeys—that map campaign activities, show the user path, and link each stage to content items through milestones. Customer journeys make complex processes easier to follow and streamline campaign execution by providing a shared visual reference for all collaborators. Configuration required

Improvements

  • On the Gantt chart of the Campaign planning widget in Planner, you can now link content items to milestones to visualize dependencies and completion order. Configuration required

  • When publishing fragments as standalone content items or within an email, use the Link interactive emails metadata field on the DETAILS or FRAGMENTS step to link email fragments to VVPM interactive documents or unlink from them. This eliminates the need to manually edit target documents and streamlines content management. Configuration required

  • When republishing Library fragments within a rep-triggered email to Veeva Vault PromoMats as PDF for approval or interactive, manage the resulting document status with the Retain Veeva Vault status checkbox on the FRAGMENTS step:

    • Select the checkbox—to keep the status after publication.

    • Clear the checkbox—to reset the status to Draft.

This prevents unnecessary re-approvals and supports operational efficiency. Configuration required

  • On the STRUCTURE tab, in the Edit chapter details popup, you can now assign human-readable IDs to e-Detailer and portfolio e-Detailer chapters to simplify identification, KPI tracking, and reporting. Configuration required

Admin setup

  • Turn on/off the Customer Journey permission in the USER MANAGEMENTPermission setsPLANNER section.

  • To configure dependencies from content items to milestones in Planner, add the campaignsSetDependencies object to the settings object within the environment configuration file.

  • To set up linking of email fragments to several VVPM interactive documents within the publication process, in USER MANAGEMENTPUBLISH MANAGERPublishVeeva Vault interactiveVeeva Vault settings, add the linked_documents object for email fragments. Also, add it to the fragments object for approved emails. Configure the following parameters within the object:

    • label—to specify the metadata field name in Publisher.

    • searchField—to define the search options by VVPM document number and/or name.

    • limit—to determine the maximum number of VVPM documents that can be selected for linking fragments.

    • firstScreenCount—to control the number of VVPM documents displayed in the field dropdown list.

  • To configure status management of the resulting VVPM document when republishing Library fragments within rep-triggered emails, add the retainStatus/retain_status object to the fragments object in the USER MANAGEMENTPUBLISH MANAGERPublishVeeva Vault as PDF for approval/Veeva Vault interactiveVeeva Vault settingsEMAIL tab. Configure the following parameters within the object:

    • value—to define the default state of the checkbox.

    • disableForUnpublished—to show/hide the checkbox for fragments not yet published to Veeva Vault PromoMats.

  • To manage editing of chapter IDs in e-Detailers and portfolio e-Detailers, turn on/off the Edit chapter details permission in the USER MANAGEMENTPermission setsUP EDITORContent section. Available also in the Application rolesUP EDITORContent section.
