? How can I optimize media files to decrease the e-Detailer size?

The simplest way to decrease your e-Detailer size without quality loss is to keep its media files of no more than 100 MB in size.

? What asset formats does eWizard support?

eWizard Library supports the following asset formats:

  • audio: AAC, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA

  • video: MOV, MP4

  • image: GIF, JFIF, JPEG, JPG, PJPEG, PNG, SVG

  • document: CSV, DOC, DOCX, HTML, PDF, PPTX, TXT, XLS, XLSX

The document formats are supported for Veeva Vault assets and for eWizard Editor TRANSLATE mode.

? How do templates appear in the Create new popup?

You can add eWizard items to your templates in NaviGate—a repository common for all users within the company. As a result, these templates appear in the Create new popup in eWizard Library.

Item details ​

? Can I restore a previous version of my eWizard item?

Sure. Once an e-Detailer or email edition has been saved, published, or exported, its version is also saved. You can download or view any version of the e-Detailer or email on its Details page.

Moreover, you can roll back to any previous item version on its Details page in eWizard.

? How do I change the language of my e-Detailer?

You can make a copy for localization, change its language and country with the Edit details option, and then translate your e-Detailer externally or within eWizard.

Converter ​

? I converted a PowerPoint presentation with video embedded. Where does this video go after conversion?

Video is kept within the e-Detailer ZIP archive. eWizard Converter places it to the /common/media/videos/ folder. Any consequent video placed instead of the original one is added to this folder. If your e-Detailer size becomes too large, ask your administrator for assistance.

? What are the source PDF requirements for conversion?

You can use PDF files to convert them into e-Detailers and website briefs.

To avoid conversion issues:

  • Make sure that the source PDF file has a minimum size and a resolution matching the future e-Detailer target device.

  • Check all links and actions assigned to the PDF elements in a browser or Adobe Acrobat.

Use standard web fonts so the resulting e-Detailer or website brief is displayed correctly.

eWizard supports PDF files created with the following tools:

  • Adobe InDesign

  • Adobe Illustrator

  • Acrobat Pro

  • Affinity Designer

eWizard doesn't support PDF files created with Adobe Photoshop.

Editor ​

? Is it possible to use the external system merge tags in eWizard items?

Yes, we can add merge tags from your external system on your demand. Please specify the list of the required merge tags in your request to eWizard Support.

? What Veeva Vault merge tags (tokens) can I use in eWizard Editor?

In eWizard Editor, add Approved Email Configuration Tokens to your email and publish it to Veeva Vault (Interactive). After syncing with Veeva CRM, you can send this email to the recipients. As a result, the merge tags (tokens) added to the email are replaced with the required data.

? What Veeva Vault images can I add to eWizard items?

In the Assets popup, select images with Document type and Status customized for your environment. Please contact your administrator for more information on the applied settings.

? Are there any requirements for image and graphic files used in emails?

There're no specific requirements. To ensure the correct rendering of your images and graphic files in emails on different devices and in email clients, please note the following recommendations:

  • Make the image size twice the size of the email layout to ensure optimal display quality. For example, if the email is designed at 600 pixels, use a 1200-pixel image to facilitate rendering on high-resolution retina screens.

  • Don't use the SVG format that can cause problems with compatibility and performance.

  • Avoid adding large GIFs because they slow down loading and worsen the user experience.

  • Make sure the image retains its visual integrity in the dark or themed email templates for optimal visibility.

? How can I add, change, or remove the same element in all slides?

You can use the Master template feature when editing your e-Detailer in eWizard.

Your e-Detailer template's version must support this feature.

? Can I edit the item when the customization panel in Editor is deactivated?

You can edit your item with the inline editing feature directly on the item layout instead. Most likely, you don't have enough permissions to use the customization panel. Please contact the administrator for details.

Make sure that your template supports the inline editing feature.

? Is it possible to add video files to emails?

In emails, you can only add a link to the required video. Besides, you can set and customize the video alternative text, poster, and the play button.

? Are there any size limitations for assets in eWizard?

To secure the effective performance of your eWizard environment and not overload the storage space, mind the following recommended asset size limitations:

  • images / documents: 50 MB

  • audio / video: 250 MB

? How can I add a PDF file to my email?

In emails, you can only add a link to the required PDF. For this, host your PDF on the external resource and add a link to this file in the Edit link popup.

? What are the recommended dimensions for the button click area on different devices?

When developing the button component, we recommend the following dimensions for increasing its clickable area:

  • For tablet and mobile devices—44×44 pixels to support touch-friendly interaction.

  • For desktop devices—32×32 pixels.

Sharing ​

? How do I share my digital assets with colleagues?

For this, you can upload your assets to NaviGate as the media type. Here, you can add assets to the content packs and portfolios, and share the whole asset collections.

? Does eWizard allow collaborative work on the same e-Detailer?

Yes, eWizard supports simultaneous work on the same e-Detailer, provided that collaborators are on different slides.

For this, share the required e-Detailer with your colleagues and assign them roles in the project.

Export ​

? Are component states expanded in an exported PDF?

In case your item contains interactive components, the platform converts these components state-by-state as separate pages in the resulting PDF.

? What media formats does NaviGate support?

eWizard NaviGate supports the following media formats:

  • audio: AAC, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA

  • video: MOV, MP4

  • image: GIF, JPEG, JPG, PJPEG, PNG

  • document: CSV, PDF, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX

The maximum file size for upload is 1 GB.
